Space created for today's woman

Here we are going to develop those issues that affect and worry women, and that have to do with changes related to age, customs, experiences, the new paradigms of modern society, where today's woman, in addition to being a mother and wife, works, plays sports, travels, is constantly on the move... Live!!!  And that life can and should be led with joy and health...

Urogynecology, Sexuality, Pelvic floor, Body Aesthetics, Facial, Dental, among others, are the objectives to be treated.

We are in the dynamics of forming INFORMATIVE WORKSHOPS, at our Recoleta Headquarters, to advise and have meetings that serve to clarify doubts and provide information. We accept proposals, collaborations, participation, and everything you want to contribute.

If you have any questions regarding a particular topic, you can suggest it and we will see to put together a Workshop on it. You can send an email putting in theSUBJECT: WORKSHOP.

calidad vs costos

Quality of treatment versus Costs

Many people, before finding out about a treatment, or its characteristics, the first thing they consult is its cost...

While it's good to know, it's even better to know what's on offer.

Medicine is no stranger to the well-known saying:  "Cheap is expensive!"

Needless to say, what matters is knowing who does the procedure, what they do, how they do it, holding one or more previous talks so that all doubts are clarified, knowing what equipment they use and why. If possible, tell us about your experience...

They are much more relevant factors than the price.

Although we are talking about Medicine, where a Guarantee of Results cannot be offered, it is important that the patient feels that they have professionals who accompany them before, during and after a procedure.

The medical act is in addition to mere treatment, adequate information, consultation, seeing complementary studies, etc.

It is essential that patients understand this, because today we live connected. We do everything online, virtual, already...  but the medical professional must look the patient in the eye and vice versa. Empathy must be established. There has to be a "connection"... and the success of a treatment will largely depend on that.

Trust makes that interaction so necessary when it comes to human health. And the treatment begins with the greeting... quality must come with warmth.

The costs of a treatment will be seen later... but we believe that it is not the most important thing. Actually, it is the least important thing about a good medical treatment!!!

Confidence, solid knowledge, good technological and human teams, personalized attention... that requires assessment by the person consulting. And then, only then consider the rest.

Female urine incontinence.

Let's talk about Stress Incontinence...

The idea of this space is to touch on issues that affect girls, in a "decontracted" way, without abusing medical-scientific terminology.

There is more than one type of incontinence. There is the ofEffort (coughing, laughing, sneezing, strength), that ofUrgency (when the urge to urinate rushes), incontinence due to overflow (it escapes without one being able to do anything), and the combination of more than one, which is calledMixed Urinary Incontinence.

The causes are numerous. Evaluation by a specialist (urologist or urogynecologist) is always suggested in order to have an accurate diagnosis, because the treatments are not the same for all.

After childbirth, it can appearstress incontinence. And that, although it is "frequent", should not be taken as "normal". It is produced, among other things, by the decrease in the natural support provided by ligaments and the vaginal wall to the urethra and bladder.

After childbirth, these ligaments and vaginal walls are loose, sometimes even torn, and no longer supportive, creating the possibility of urinary incontinence when they pick up the baby, or when they laugh out loud, or when they cough, etc.

It may happen that after a while it disappears, but sometimes this does not happen.

Today, there are specific treatments to correct this.

Although there are exercises, or there are also the so-called "pessaries", Chinese balls, and things like that, they can improve muscle tone. In other words: they strengthen the pelvic floor musculature. Which is good... but sometimes it's not enough.

We have to regenerate the torn and "stretched" collagen.

In this sense, an alternative today is the use of photoluminic or ultrafrequency thermal therapy (It sounds difficult, but it means: THERAPY WITH DEVICES THAT GENERATE HEAT).

LASER is one of the most effective and used methods. What it does is just that, generate heat, and produce a reaction in the body, through the formation of new collagen. And this returns firmness to the vaginal walls, which brings the benefit of regaining control of continence.

But, in addition, this same treatment will treat two more problems: the vaginal canal decreases its diameter, narrows, which improves sensitivity during sexual intercourse (for women, and also for men);  and lubrication will also increase, precisely because of that collagen regeneration.

This also happens in pre and post-menopausal women. When estrogens drop, as a result of this stage of life, incontinence, vaginal dryness, irritations can occur.

And it can be treated with the same therapy.

If this happens to you, you have to consult it, because it clearly has a treatment, and in most cases, it is solved.

Incontinencia de Esfuerzo
claves para el orgasmo femenino

the graduateMaria Esther Antelo is part of our staff.

"We are all capable of having an orgasm, it is a matter of recognition and learning." Thus, with her statement, the medical specialist in clinical sexology and obstetricianSilvina Valenteand the psychologist specializing in clinical sexologyMaria Esther Antelo They brought peace of mind to many women who believe they have a sexual dysfunction and many times the problem is much easier to solve.

As detailed by the experts from the Sexology section of the Gynecology Division of the Hospital de Clínicas, "in the orgasmic experience, the biological, the psychological and the social operate." In this sense, "reaching orgasm and living it in a pleasant way is related to balance, with the way in which these three constitutive dimensions of every individual interact."

Heorgasm ismore than the physical reaction during the sexual encounter.

According to specialists, an orgasm is unique for each person. "It is important to learn to experience it outside the story of others or the social preconception," Valente explained.

" orgasm is more than the physical reaction during sexual intercourse," Antelo said.

The attitude, the development of sexuality, eroticism, the encounter with the other, are generating the way to achieve the pleasant correlate in orgasm. This is achieved accompanied by the richness of experiences to which sexuality points and which are not limited to the moment of intercourse. They start even with the first message in the morning."

And after assuring that "it is very important for women to know themselves and their own sexual response", the doctor deepened: "You have to allow it and not demand it from the other, not go beyond those expectations about achieving pleasure thanks to what the other person does. It is important for us to learn with our bodies. "

For his part, Valente pointed out that consultations are frequent from women who "believe they are anorgasmic or who do not have the capacity to feel pleasure in intercourse." "When we started working with them we discovered that they actually have orgasms, but they don't experience them as such," he said.

Consultations of women who believe they are anorgasmic or who do not have the capacity to feel pleasure in intercourse are frequent.

For her, what happens is that "something else is expected, an internal fireworks explosion is sought with which the female orgasm is generally represented and in reality their body has another, totally different sensation that they fail to recognize."

And he provided a recommendation that seems to be vital in the matter."The key to orgasm is loss of control. Therein lies the whole point. If you start to analyze it, in an orgasm you don't know if you're fat or skinny, if you're lying down or standing up, if you're stretched out or throwing a bun, you know absolutely nothing. You lose, for a few thousandths of a second, control of corporeality, which is so conscious in excitement. You have to allow yourself to lose control; it is likely that many women do not want to, or cannot go through the experience with complete freedom and without prejudice. The pleasant experience is linked to whether I let myself be carried away by what I feel or if I am alert to see what is happening to me, thinking about how I see myself, how I look at this moment, what image I am giving, what I feel on a physical level and whether the other will like it or not".

On the other hand, both professionals agreed that "the look of women must be deconstructed. What expresses the woman in its entirety is not the vagina, which is associated with motherhood and is valued based on the man's ability to penetrate it. The vulva links us to our body, fun and pleasure, The clitoris is the only organ in the human body dedicated exclusively to pleasure., because not even the man's penis has that only function".
